If you want some good information about how to do things with Linux, IBM's Developer Works is a great place to start. IBM publishes a ton of incredibly good articles about how to do almost everything you'd want to do with Linux, and other stuff too.
Unfortunately, it's not always easy to find what you want without an exact link. For instance, there is this article, "Build intelligent, unattended scripts" by Martin Brown; it's in the System Administration Toolkit series, but the only obvious way to find all the other articles in the series is to use IBM's website search.
There's another good IBM series that isn't always easy to track down, Speaking UNIX. That link hooks to a search that returns 22 hits, including nine actual "Speaking UNIX" articles.
Oh well. It's still an excellent resource, one which I'm sure I'll be referring to often here.
